Northeastern North Dakota is home to the pristine Pembina Gorge,
the Lake Ardoch National Wildlife Refuge, Salt Lake, North Salt Lake,
Icelandic State Park, Tetrault State Forest, Gunlogson Nature
Preserve, Lake Renwick, Mt. Carmel Dam Recreation Area, the Pembina
and Red River Valleys, and many local city parks ~~ all great places
to go for unique birding adventures!
SOLI'S PEMBINA GORGE TOURS IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THESE THREE SPRING
BIRDING ECOTOUR ADVENTURES FOR 2001!
SATURDAY, APRIL 28 ~~ WATERFOWL & EARLY SPRING MIGRANTS
SATURDAY, MAY 12 ~~ WARBLERS (NATIONAL MIGRATORY BIRD
DAY)
SATURDAY, JUNE 16 ~~ GRASSLAND BIRDS
TOUR GUIDE:
Each of these ecotours will be led by Mike Jacobs, the well-known
birder who writes a weekly column in the Grand Forks Herald entitled
"Always in Season." Mike is also the editor of the
Herald.
WHAT TO BRING:
Binoculars, Scopes, Bird Books, Cameras, Sunscreens, Sunhats, Light
Jackets or Sweatshirts, Insect Repellent, Prescription Medications,
Over the Counter Medicines (First Aid Kits and Cell Phones will be
available for emergencies)
REGISTRATION FEES:
The $50 registration fee includes a "hearty Continental
Breakfast,"
transportation to and from the sites, trail mix throughout the day,
elegant lunch at one of the Rendezvous Region's finest specialty
restaurants, unlimited amounts of beverages throughout the day ~~
and of course, the ecotour itself led by Mike Jacobs.
The registration fee is 100% refundable up to two weeks prior to the
ecotour. After that date, a 50% refund will be issued.
LODGING IN THE RENDEZVOUS REGION:
REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
The registration deadline will be one month prior to each ecotour:
The April 28 ecotour deadline is March 28
The May 12 ecotour deadline is April 12
The June 16 ecotour deadline is May 16
Since we will have to limit the number of participants to only 20
birders per ecotour, the registration slots are expected to fill up
quickly.
